Discovering my path, I thought was so right,

Was deceiving my soul, I had to take flight

Alone in this world, Being Broken in heart

For It was for MY sin, You died on the Cross

I feel there is something more than life

I feel so guilty, through toil and strife

They say there’s a God out there, creator of all

And here on this Earth, I can reach out and call

I know in my heart that I need you in me

But how can you get there, and how can this be

I’ve prayed Lord, that you would please hear my plight

That you grant me your spirit and bless me with light

My prayers to you God, “Please help me to know.”

The direction to follow and help me to grow

Closer to you Lord, please show me the way

To get you in my heart throughout every day

I know, God, There’s more that I can even grip

Knowing from you Lord, I need this relationship

My child, it’s simple, stop trusting in man

Put your FULL trust in me, in my word and my plan

Oh Jesus, where do I even begin

For my whole life, I’ve lived in sin

Your great love is now all I see

As I become whom you want me to be

My heart is now full, my whole life glows

Knowing it was me whom you really chose

And I’m yours now, as you let me see

How bound I once was, and now I am free

Jesus, you are my Lord, and I give you my heart

The new person I am, thanks for the new start

I confess that you are, my Lord and my God

You saved me in spite of me being flawed

Jesus, to the Father, you are my defender

My Savior to you, I do humbly surrender

You chose me, I’m in awe again and again
